As the name implies, Velvet is a browser-based client for the Derpibooru website. It is made by the same team that created the website and the content it displays. Its purpose is to make the experience of browsing the website easier and more pleasant.
Some may have compatibility issues with certain features or look very different compared to a Velvet-based browser.
The main difference between Velvet and the standard browser is that there are fewer ads and fewer pop-ups. This allows you to browse more freely, without feeling the need to constantly click the "No, I don't want to." button.
The new settings for the website are present directly within the application. You can find them on the Website settings page. It will also let you add personalized themes for your profile, the website, and the rest of the website.
